Board of Directors
Feed the Hungry, Inc. is an all volunteer organization. The Board of Directors is responsible for providing guidelines in the implementation or programs and resource allocation to support the mission of the organization. The Chairman of the Board and the Executive Director are responsible for the operation and execution of programs. Funds raised by Feed the Hungry are spent on programs that directly benefit recipients in the Philippines. Less than one-percent of funds are spent for administrative cost. Members of the Board who participate in program activities in the Philippines pay for their own travel and lodging.

Lottie
Buhain has dedicated countless hours to the operation of Feed the Hungry.
She is an active volunteer in numerous civic projects in the Metro Washington,
D.C. area. She is also chairman of the Philippine Medical Foundation
Scholarship Committee; and, is past president of the APPA Auxiliary
and Philippine Medical Association of Metro-Washington DC Auxiliary.
Teresita Calderon-Alarcon, Executive Director
In
1983, Teresita Calderon-Alarcon, along with her husband Pablito Alarcon,
founded Feed the Hungry. She is retired from the International Monetary
Fund after 23 years of service. Tessie has four children and seven grandchildren.
She continues to recruit and direct volunteers in the operation of the
organization.

Estela majored in Economics at the University of Santo Tomas, Manila, Philippines. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws. She works as a Senior Coordinator for Memberships and Capital Subscriptions in the Corporate Secretariat of the World Bank Group.
Rodney Garcia, Esq., Legal Counsel
Rodney is Counsel with The Collins Law Firm. He graduated from the George Washington University National Law Center after earning a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from George Mason University and the Trial Advocacy Institute of the University of Virginia. He is licensed in the California, Maryland and Virginia Bars. He is also admitted in the U.S. Tax Court. Very active in his community, Rod served as Commissioner for the Human Rights Commission of Prince Georges County, Maryland from 1996 to 1998, as Legal Counsel of the Philippine American Bar Association from 1998-2000, as President of the Philippine American Bar Association from 2000-2002 and as Legal Counsel for the Philippine American Foundation for Charities, Inc. from 1984 to the present. In addition, he founded Angkan in 1981 and taught Legal and Argumentative Writing and English Composition and Writing at the Catholic University of America. Rod is a published author having been a Legal/Tax Columnist Profit Sharing/401(k) for Council of America (1998-2000) and a columnist for Tax Practice Magazine (Tax Analysts) (2000-2002). His book, "The Right Place and Other Stories" was published in 2003. Rod is also an talented songwriter and performer who frequently performs with his children.
Celia Pangilinan-Donahue
Entrepreneur and business owner,a bridge and partner in trade between the United States and the ASEAN region, Celia owned and managed a travel agency for 22 years. She has been an active trader of steel industry products for 12 years. She received a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from the University of the Philippines, also taking some graduate credits towards a Master of Arts in Political Science from the same university. Celia is the Founding Vice President, and former President of the Philippine American Chamber of Commerce of Washington DC, Virginia, and Maryland area. Celia has also held offices as Convenor and first Executive Vice President of the Federation of Philippine American Chambers of Commerce in the United States. and Director of the US-Philippines Tourism Advisory Council.
