Feed the Hungry depends on the generous support of individuals, businesses and community groups. Your donation will help us feed malnourished children, build classrooms, assist families and communities in economic development, and provide emergency assistance in times of natural disasters. Feed the Hungry is a 501(c) 3 private non-profit organization. Donations are tax deductible.
Fundraising Events
Feed the Hungry, Inc. sponsors four major events in Washington, D.C. area to raise funds.
- Spring Shindig – Welcome the Spring with this event. This is a casual gathering and is usually held around May, at a community center, and is open to anyone who wants to learn about the programs of Feed the Hungry. This dinner/dance event is attended by 100-150 people. Cost is $30 per person.
- Golf Tournament – Held in August, this is a fun event for avid golfers.
- Handog Gala – Feed the Hungry’s formal event. This gala is held around November at a prestigious hotel and attended by 300-400 people. Cost is $60 per person. Corporate sponsorships are also available.
- Carpet Auction – Once a year, Parvizian Oriental Rugs and Feed the Hungry sponsor a carpet auction. The finest quality Oriental and Persian rugs are auctioned to friends, family, and supporters of Feed the Hungry. Portions of the proceeds are donated to Feed the Hungry.
