Educational Support

Grants are awarded to schools for the purchase of construction materials to build classrooms.
Four-year tuition assistance is provided to high school and college students. Recipients are selected on the basis of financial need, academic achievement, and leadership potential.
Books, computers, microscopes, videotapes, audio visual equipment, and instructional aids and materials are shipped to the Philippines and distributed to public schools and libraries.
The Classroom Project is a joint effort between Feed the Hungry Phil., Inc. and local partner organizations in the Philippines with the help of the Commission for Filipinos Overseas (CFO). Its goal is to help improve the quality of education in beneficiary schools, towns or barangays by building classrooms using donations from private individuals and organizations abroad. Each two-classroom building is built according to the specifications here at the cost of approximately PHP200,000 at a school, town or barangay specified by the donor.
